In the second quarter of 2024, the Android platform saw varied performance among top personal finance apps in the US. Data from Sensor Tower provides a closer look at these trends.

Splitwise showed a notable increase in downloads, peaking at 818K in early June before stabilizing at 754K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users fluctuated, reaching a high of 6.2M in late May. Revenue trends were dynamic, with a mid-quarter spike to $263K and closing the quarter at a strong $222K.

YNAB observed more modest download numbers, maintaining a range between 14K and 18K, with slight dips to as low as 3K. Active users showed resilience, hovering around the 160s but dipping to 148K in early May. Revenue for YNAB peaked at $201K at the end of April, with several ups and downs, ending the quarter on $129K.

Active user numbers grew steadily, reaching a high of 471K in the same period. Revenue for the app showed variability but ended the quarter on a positive note at $75K.
